Digital marketing for roofers uses Google Ads, local SEO and a trust-focused website to bring in calls and quote requests for repairs, restorations and replacements. Pro Roof and Gutter's roof replacement Search campaign converted at 43.88%, at $42.66 per tracked conversion, in the 30 days to 17 July 2026. Roofers who show their licence, insurance, finished roofs and local reviews give homeowners what they need to book an inspection.
How homeowners choose a roofer.
A roof is a big decision, and homeowners take their time over it. These are the 3 things they check before they book an inspection.
A licensed, insured, local business
Homeowners look for your licence number, insurance, street address and years in business before they let anyone on the roof. I put all 4 where they can't be missed: on your site, your Business Profile and your ads.
Finished roofs they can picture on their house
Photos of real jobs, labelled by suburb and roof type, do more selling than any headline. A Colorbond reroof in Salisbury or a tile restoration in Modbury tells a neighbour exactly what you'd do for them.
Reviews from people nearby
A local track record is a roofer's strongest advantage. Reviews from homeowners a few streets away, and a profile that's been active for years, give a careful buyer the confidence to book an inspection.
Repair, restoration and replacement are different searches.
Each job type has its own buyer, so each gets its own campaign and its own page. Pro Roof and Gutter runs separate roof replacement and gutter replacement campaigns, each with a landing page I built for that search. If you also remove old asbestos roofs, my page on asbestos removal marketing covers that work.
Roof repairs
Leaks, broken tiles and storm damage. These searches are urgent, so the ad leads with your phone number and the page makes calling the easiest thing to do.
Restorations
Cleaning, repointing and recoating. These buyers compare quotes and look closely at before-and-after photos, so the page leads with your finished work and a quote form.
Replacements
The biggest job and the longest decision. The page covers materials, colours, warranties and what the day looks like, with an inspection booking as the next step.
Insurance work
Homeowners making a claim want to know how it works with you. A page of its own explains the claim steps, the reports you provide and the restoration work you've done.
Google Ads for roofers.
Google Ads put your business in front of homeowners searching for a roofer right now. I build a campaign for each job type you want more of, write ads around your licence, local address and finished work, and send every click to a landing page made for that search. Negative keywords keep the budget on buyers and away from DIY and job-seeker searches. If you clean gutters too, my page on Google Ads for gutter cleaners shows how I set those campaigns up.
Storms bring a rush of leak and damage searches. I can keep a storm-damage campaign built and paused, ready to switch on when the weather turns and your crew has room for the work. Every call, form and phone-link click is tracked, so each month you can see which searches brought in enquiries.
Management is $800+GST a month plus your own ad spend, which you pay to Google directly. You get a landing page for every service you advertise, and month-to-month terms.

“Engaged Chris to refresh my digital footprint and specifically my ad words campaign. He was professional and very communicative at every step and would highly recommend his services here in Brisbane.”
Roofer SEO and Google Maps.
Your business covers a set patch of suburbs. I build a page for each area you want more work in, with jobs you've done there, and a page for each service, so your site shows up for searches like “roof restoration Golden Grove”. The full method is on my roofer SEO page.
Google Maps brings calls from homeowners nearby. A 1-off Google Business Profile optimisation is $750+GST, and Google Maps syndication is $800+GST a month. Maps syndication is usually the first part of the work to show up in calls, while your website SEO builds underneath it.

Client Results
Pro Roof and Gutter: measured Google Ads results.
Pro Roof and Gutter is a roofing and guttering company based in Elizabeth South, in Adelaide's north. I rebuilt their whole website, built 2 conversion-first landing pages made specifically for the ad traffic, and manage the Google Ads account. Enhanced Conversions, Google Tag Manager, GA4 event tracking and call tracking are all in place, so the numbers below are measured. The full story is in my Pro Roof and Gutter results.

What I count as a conversion
The tracked conversion actions are phone calls, website form submissions and website phone-link clicks. A phone-link click records the intent to call before any conversation happens, so I report these as tracked conversions and keep the word “lead” for confirmed enquiries.
I also report Performance Max separately, because it behaves differently. In the same 30 days to 17 July 2026 it recorded 167.56 conversions from $944.24 spend at a 9.61% conversion rate and $5.64 per conversion. Those conversions are dominated by click-to-call, so I keep that figure out of any cost-per-lead claim. It's what pulls the whole-account average down to $18.96 across 235.37 tracked conversions and $4,461.71 spend. The figures I headline are the 2 Search campaigns above.
Period on period: 14 June to 13 July 2026 against the 30 days before it
Account spend of $4,470, down from $5,474. Conversions of 241, up from 183. Cost per conversion of $18.52, down from $29.96. The account spent less and produced more. At campaign level, Roof Replacement moved to a 35.9% conversion rate of clicks, up from 33.9%, at $50.83 per conversion, down from $57.08. This is a separate comparison window from the figures above, so I report it on its own.
Want the same tracking and campaign structure on your account? I'll review your Google Ads for free and show you where I'd start. Here's Joshua Haigh's review of the Google Ads I built for his flooring business.
“Chris has been exceptional for our flooring business. … Our campaign has generated us very strong, qualified leads. This is exactly what we were hoping for.”
More Roofing Proof
Platinum Home Improvements: first roof restoration 8 days after launch.
Platinum Home Improvements is a roof restoration company that came to me after working with a previous agency. I built them a new website and a dedicated landing page for roof restoration searches, then launched Google Ads. Their first roof restoration job came in 8 days after the ads went live.
What I did
- ✓New website and a landing page built for roof restoration searches
- ✓Google Ads launched to reach homeowners searching for roof restoration
- ✓First roof restoration secured 8 days after launch
8 days
from Google Ads launch to their first roof restoration
Roofing websites that book inspections.
A roofing website earns its keep when it turns a visit into an inspection booking. I build a quote form that lets homeowners attach photos of their roof, so you can price the job or plan the visit before you climb a ladder. Galleries of finished roofs are sorted by suburb and job type, and insurance and storm damage each get a page of their own.
Websites start at $4,000+GST, quoted as a fixed price once the scope is agreed, and every one I build includes:
- ✓Search Console and Google Analytics, connected
- ✓Calls, forms and bookings tracked as conversions
- ✓Automations ready to switch on
- ✓Calendar bookings with a conversion event
- ✓Service pages laid out like my Google Ads landing pages
- ✓Changes made within 1 business day
What roofing marketing costs.
Published prices, so you can plan the budget around the season.
| Service | What it includes | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Website SEO | Suburb and service pages, Business Profile, monthly report | $1,500, $2,500 or $4,000+GST a month (suburb cluster, metro-wide or multi-city) |
| Google Business Profile optimisation | Categories, services, service areas and project photos set up properly | $750+GST once |
| Google Maps syndication | Ongoing Maps visibility work for 1 or 2 locations | $800+GST a month, or $1,450+GST for 2 |
| Google Ads management | A campaign and landing page for each job type, call and form tracking | $800+GST a month plus your own ad spend |
| Roofing website | Photo quote form, job galleries, insurance page, tracking connected | From $4,000+GST |
SEO, Maps syndication and Google Ads management run month to month, with no lock-in contracts. The Business Profile optimisation is a 1-off fee.
