Quick answer

Dental marketing is how a practice turns Google searches into booked appointments. I do it in 4 parts: Google Maps and local SEO so patients find you for “dentist near me”, a page for each treatment you want more of, Google Ads on emergency and high-value treatments, and online booking on every page. You deal with me directly, and each monthly report shows the calls and bookings every part brought in.

How dental practices win new patients on Google.

Patients choose a dentist in a few taps. These 3 things decide which practice they book.

Independent care, shown clearly

Patients value seeing the same dentist at each visit. I put that continuity of care at the centre of your Google profile and website, with your dentists' names, photos and the suburbs you serve. Families nearby can see what booking with you feels like before they call.

Found for “dentist near me” and “[treatment] [suburb]”

Patients search by need and by place: “emergency dentist [suburb]”, “clear aligners [suburb]” or simply “dentist near me”. Google answers with the Map Pack and the treatment pages that match. A complete Business Profile and a page for each treatment give Google a clear reason to show your practice.

A review routine patients actually use

Patients read reviews before they open your website. A simple request after each appointment, sent the same way every time, builds a steady stream of genuine reviews. I set that routine up with your front desk and keep it within Ahpra's advertising rules, which I cover further down.

How I market dental practices: SEO, Google Ads and your website.

4 pieces of work, each with its own page if you want the detail. I can run 1 of them or all 4.

Website SEO for dental practices

I build and improve the pages patients search for: each treatment, each suburb you serve, and the questions patients ask before they book. Website SEO plans start at $1,500+GST a month.

SEO for dentists→

Google Business Profile and Google Maps

I optimise your Business Profile once ($750+GST) with the right categories, services, photos and booking link. Google Maps syndication then builds your Maps visibility each month from $800+GST a month, and Maps is often where new calls and bookings show up first while website SEO builds.

Google Maps syndication and local SEO→

Google Ads for emergency and high-value treatments

I run Google Ads on emergency dental and the high-value treatments you choose, with a landing page for every service advertised. Calls and bookings are tracked back to the keyword. Management is $800+GST a month plus your own ad spend.

Dental Google Ads→

A website with online booking

A fast, mobile-first dental website with HotDoc, HealthEngine or practice-software booking on every page, and calls and bookings tracked as conversions. Websites start at $4,000, quoted as a fixed price once the scope is agreed.

From my Wayville base

Dental marketing in Adelaide.

I'm based in Wayville and have worked from Adelaide for 8 years. Adelaide patients search by suburb, so I plan an Adelaide practice's marketing suburb by suburb.

A patient in Norwood types “dentist Norwood”. A parent in Glenelg searches “children's dentist Glenelg”. Someone in Prospect with a cracked tooth types “emergency dentist near me” and calls the first practice that looks open and well reviewed. Each of those searches favours a practice whose Business Profile, suburb pages and treatment pages all tell Google the same story.

For an Adelaide practice, I map the suburbs your patients come from and check which practices Google shows in each one. Then I build the suburb pages, treatment pages and Maps presence that give your practice its share of those searches. Independent practices can stand out here by showing the continuity of care Adelaide families value.

Google Ads follow the same map. I target the suburbs within easy reach of your chairs, so your ad spend goes on patients who can realistically book.

“Chris worked on our business SEO and the impact and results for the business speak for themselves. A massive increase in traffic to our website and over the phone. Really easy to deal and always happy to help with any queries we have had since. Highly recommend to anyone looking for SEO services.”

Patient reviews and Ahpra's advertising rules.

Reviews help patients choose a practice, and for dentists they come with rules. Ahpra's guidelines for advertising a regulated health service restrict testimonials about clinical aspects of care, such as symptoms, treatment or outcomes. Those rules cover a practice's own advertising, which includes its website and its ads.

As I understand the guidance, a practice isn't responsible for unsolicited reviews on sites it doesn't control, such as its Google profile. Reviews about the non-clinical side of a visit, like friendly staff, easy parking or a short wait, can be used in advertising. The restriction applies when a review about clinical care is quoted on your website or in an ad.

So I set up a review routine that stays within those lines. Every patient gets the same simple request after their appointment, with no incentives, which Google's review policies also prohibit. Replies thank the reviewer without confirming any treatment details. On your website, I feature reviews about the experience of visiting your practice.

I'm not a lawyer, but from what I know this is how the guidance applies to marketing work, and I keep it within the scope of what I do for your practice. Please confirm any advertising question against Ahpra's published guidance or with your indemnity insurer. The step-by-step review process is on my page about SEO for dental practices.

Treatment pages that attract the right patients.

The treatments you want more of decide where I start, on Google Search and in Google Ads.

Dental implants

A high-value treatment patients research carefully. A detailed page on the process, payment options and your dentist's experience suits it, and it's a strong candidate for Google Ads.

Clear aligners

Patients compare providers and prices. Clear information on consultations and payment plans helps them choose your practice.

Emergency dental

Searched in the moment, usually on a phone. Google Ads and your Maps listing carry it, with your phone number front and centre.

Children's dentistry

Parents look for a gentle, family-friendly practice. The page shows your dentists, your rooms and how a first visit works.

Check-ups and cleans

The steady base of your appointment book, won mostly through your Maps listing, your reviews and easy online booking.

Where you're comfortable publishing fees or payment options, I put them on the page, because patients look for them. Google Ads go on emergency dental and the 1 or 2 high-value treatments with room in your diary, each with its own landing page.

The way I build and grow each treatment page is on my SEO for dentists page.

Online booking that fills the appointment book.

Patients book when it's easy. I put a booking button on every page of your website and on your Google Business Profile, linked to HotDoc, HealthEngine or your practice management software. Your phone number sits beside it for patients who'd rather call.

Then I track what happens: calls from Google Maps, booking-button clicks by page, and calls and bookings from each Google Ads campaign. Each month you see which treatments and suburbs filled your appointment book, so the budget follows the patients.

What dental marketing costs with me.

Fixed, published prices. Every retainer is month to month, and you can start with 1 service and add another once it's working.

Questions dentists ask before getting started.

What does a dental marketing agency do?
A dental marketing agency helps a practice turn Google searches into booked appointments. In my case that's 4 pieces of work: your Google Business Profile and Google Maps presence for 'dentist near me' searches, a page on your website for each treatment you want more of, Google Ads on emergency and high-value treatments, and online booking on every page. You deal with me directly, from the plan to the monthly report.
How much should a dental practice spend on Google Ads?
Ad spend depends on your suburbs, your treatments and how many new patients you can see each week. As a guide, emergency dental clicks often cost around $8 to $15 each, and that varies by suburb and competition. I set a starting budget from the real click costs on your own keywords, then adjust it each month from the calls and bookings it brings in. Management is $800+GST a month on top of your ad spend, which you pay to Google directly.
How long does dental marketing take to work?
Each month I do the work and show you what it produced. Google Ads calls and bookings are tracked from the day your campaign goes live. On the SEO and Maps side, my monthly report covers your Business Profile calls and direction requests, the searches your treatment pages appear for, and the enquiries they bring in. For a sense of pace from a health practice I've worked with, The Gut Guy in Melbourne saw a 50% rise in scheduled consultations from local SEO in about 2 months.
Can an independent practice compete with corporate dental chains?
Yes. Independent practices have strengths patients look for: the same dentist at each visit, front-desk staff who know their name, and reviews from families nearby. I build your Google presence around those strengths with suburb and treatment pages, a steady review routine and ads focused on the suburbs you serve. Patients searching close to your practice then see a local choice with genuine reviews.
Do you integrate with HotDoc or HealthEngine?
Yes. I build dental websites with booking buttons linked to HotDoc, HealthEngine or your practice management software's online booking. Every treatment page carries a booking button and your phone number, so patients can book the moment they decide. I track booking clicks and calls by page and campaign, so you can see which treatments and searches fill your appointment book.
What if my practice already has a website that could bring in more patients?
I start by auditing what you have: how it loads on a phone, whether each treatment has its own page, how easy booking is, and whether calls and bookings are tracked. Often the best next step is adding treatment pages and booking buttons to the site you already own. If a rebuild makes more sense, websites start at $4,000, quoted as a fixed price once the scope is agreed.
Do you work with dental practices outside Adelaide?
Yes. I'm based in Wayville in Adelaide and work with practices across Australia. Google Ads, Google Maps and website SEO all run remotely, with a monthly report and direct access to me by phone and email.
