Domain Rating and Domain Authority
Domain Rating and Domain Authority are 0 to 100 scores invented by SEO tool companies to estimate how strong a site's link profile is.
Domain Rating is Ahrefs' version and Domain Authority is Moz's, and the 2 numbers won't agree with each other.
Neither is a Google metric and neither is used by Google to rank anything.
They're still useful as a comparison: knowing a competitor sits at 42 while you sit at 8 tells you something real about the gap.
Both scales are logarithmic, so moving from 10 to 20 is a far smaller job than moving from 60 to 70.
Treat movement in the score as a progress signal and never as the goal itself.
What this means for you
Be careful with anyone who sells you on raising this number. It's a proxy, and it can be raised by link buying that hurts the rankings it's meant to predict.
This one sits under SEO.
